The Seattle metropolitan area’s strong economy and record growth continues to present challenges to the region’s transportation infrastructure. The citizens and their leaders have responded by approving significant new investments in roads, light rail, buses and airport facilities—some of which are under construction and others are well along in the planning and approval processes. In light of the continued escalating demand for transportation solutions at a time of rapid growth, a number of important questions are being asked, including:

• What are the short and long- term transportation forecasts telling us?
• How are the major city, regional and state transportation projects coming along – are they on time and on budget?
• What other transportation solutions are contemplated or are being planned for?
• Are there any other transportation financing tools left in the toolbox?
• How have alternative project delivery methods such as public/private partnerships, GCCM and design/build fared in the field?

At this seminar, these questions and many others will be answered by an impressive faculty of regional transportation leaders, transportation planners, engineers, attorneys and other experts in construction contracting and project delivery.
