Top News: Trucking companies competing with new companies. Older companies find themselves competing with the new companies because that newer companies pay their drivers with cash checks, and they are avoiding paying taxes.

According to the BLSt, most trucking companies pay drivers between $0.27 to 0.40 cents per mile. You may find some companies paying more because of the high demand for Class A licensed Truck Drivers due to the ongoing truck driver shortage.

Lastest news: Since the amount of freight is predicted to grow, the trucking industry will need to hire more drivers to meet demand. Currently, the trucking industry has a shortage of drivers and if this trend continues, the trucking industry could be short as much as 105,000 drivers by 2023.
