Daniel Smart Manufacturing, Inc. has been making and distributing high quality motorcycle gear and fashion leather apparel for almost 20 years. We have grown considerably and our volume has increased for inbound and outbound. Consequently, we need a highly organized Logistics & Shipping Professional.

Job Summary:

This position is responsible for assistance in all warehouse, logistics and office functions on a daily basis.

As a Logistics & Shipping Professional you will spend your days doing the following:

• Assistance in all warehousing, logistics and office operations.
• Adhere to all warehousing, handling and shipping legislation requirements.
• Sort, organize and store inventory in proper locations.
• Prepare shipping documents for LTL Shipping, UPS, DHL and USPS.
• Processing orders in QuickBooks and Invoicing.
• Provide administrative duties associated with the effective management of operations.
• Prepare and modify documents including correspondence, reports, drafts, memos and emails.
• Collaborate with warehouse, purchasing and other managers to optimize processes.
• Resolves customer complaints regarding sales and service.
• Develops and maintains outstanding working relationships with customers to ensure customer satisfaction.
• Maintains safe and clean work environment by keeping shelves, pallet area, and workstations neat; maintaining clean shipping supply area; complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.
• Assists in solving warehouse problems that effect service and efficiency.
• Quickly adapt to our software system.

Job Qualifications:

• Experience: At least 5 years of related experience

Requirements:

• Excellent verbal and written communication.
• Strong computer and math skills.
• Must have a strong shipping background and solid knowledge of logistics procedures including LTL Shipping, UPS and USPS.
• Proven experience as shipping & receiving professional.
• Ability to possibly lift boxes over 50 lbs., and load/ unload shipments.
• Problem solving.
• Attention to detail and accuracy
• Well organized and able to do multi tasks in a fast-paced environment.
